~Week Seven~

2/12-Sunday Drive

2/13-Packaging up some parsnip seeds from my harvest last year to share with those who expressed interest in my offer on Facebook. Sure it took another entire week to get stamps in here, but they're going out in the mail this morning.

Nope, no they're not... President's Day. Tomorrow then.

 2/14-Years.

It's been years and years since I've been treated to a box of chocolates from our local chocolatier. What was that I was rambling about last week? I spent the week tired and dizzy and lazy and my sweet tooth was happy the whole time. The best part is that I could get on the scale today and blame it all on baby weight. Besides it will be years and years again before I could forget the sticker shock of $20 a pound!!

2/15-Nothing to show for this day.

2/16-And almost nothing for this day either except I was trying to convince Hannah that her ends were ragged, crooked, and needing a trim. My camera was within an arms length so I grabbed it to snap a shot and show her. It's blurry as can be, but I love the Bill bokeh bending down and waving  to get in the frame. Even more than that I love that he called it bokeh.

2/17- I love making vanilla. It's easy, frugal, and you don't have to worry about it being watered down or sugared up. And it makes your hands smell wonderful. And it's fun to drive up to the liquor store in a 12 passenger van full of children and buy 4 bottles of vodka. The only problem of course is how long it takes to make if you run out. This time I'm making three bottles (4th for cleaning), two now dividing the beans between them and the third later with to extract every last bit out of the beans. Hopefully that will be enough for a years worth of vanilla.

2/18- Photography afterthought. I remembered I hadn't taken anything near dusk and figured I would just get what was in front of me and practice working with the low-light. I was working on dissecting some skirts to refashion for the girls later in the year. I got them all pulled apart, but am now waiting for someone to find my fabric tape measure that mysteriously vanished over the past week. The best part is being told it's gone as though it walked out of the house or someone just decided to throw it away. Saturday will be basement cleaning day- no doubt it will show up then.
